Respawn

The problem

A student gaming community does more than run tournaments - it recruits organisers, creators, editors, and volunteers, runs a flagship annual championship, and works with external partners. All of that was competing for attention in one place, with several different audiences arriving for different reasons.

The approach

The structure leads with a role picker rather than a menu: player, organiser, creator, editor, or volunteer. Visitors self-select before they read anything else, which lets a single homepage serve five audiences without diluting any of them. The visual language borrows from arcade typography without tipping into pastiche.

The solution

A high-contrast, off-white site anchored by an oversized pixel wordmark, with a role-based entry point, an event board, a dedicated section for the flagship Respawn Cup, and a partners section for external collaborations.
